Mary Ann Nadeau

Mary Ann (Phillips) Nadeau, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died February 21, 2016. She was born in Bangor, February 10, 1937, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Millett) Phillips.
She was a graduate of John Bapst High School, class of 1955, Eastern Academy of Hair Dressing, and she attended Beal College. Ann was employed with New England Telephone Company, and worked as a beautician. She was a talented artist and was a member of the Maine State Artist Organization.
Ann’s greatest joy and devotion in life was her family. In 1958, in El Paso, Tx. she married, Jim, the love of her life. Ann was extremely gifted at loving others. She made each member of her family feel as if they were the most important person. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are, her devoted husband of 57 years, E. Jim Nadeau; children, Robin Edwards and her husband, John, Stephen Nadeau and his wife, Deb, J. Chris Nadeau and his wife Melissa.; seven grandchildren, Matt and Luke, Edwards, Mike Nadeau and Katie Schwanda , and Drew, Patrick and Sarah Nadeau; two great grandchildren, Eli and Michaela Schwanda; two sisters, Donna Vachon , and Judith Strang; her brother-in-law, Wendell Nadeau; two very special friends, Ed and Lorraine Thebarge.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph Hospital, with special thanks to Derrick, RN and Sean, RT.
A funeral Mass will be held noon Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the Parish Hall, immediately after, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor.
