Mary Perry

Mary Ellen (Graham) Perry died peacefully November 26, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 23, 1935 in Bangor, the daughter of John Leslie and Marian (Ronan) Graham. Mary Ellen graduated from John Bapst High School, class of 1953. After high school, she worked at Prudential Insurance as a secretary. She married the love of her life, John Paul Perry on July 18, 1959 and they raised their 3 children in Bangor. Mary Ellen returned to work in 1978 as attendance secretary and then registrar at Bangor High School. She retired in 1999. Mary Ellen was a lifelong communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church. She loved being with her family and hosting family gatherings throughout the year. She was an avid sports fan and, much to the chagrin of her sons, was a New York Yankees fan.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Colleen Dahl and her husband, William; her son, Paul, his wife, Moira and their sons, Cameron and Liam; her son, John, his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughters, Katheryn, Meghan and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was predeceased by her sister, Sheila Graham and grandson, Benjamin Graham Perry.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 am Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St John’s Catholic Church, following CDC guidelines. The funeral will be live streamed at www.stpaulbangor.me.

Due to the pandemic, a reception to celebrate Mary Ellen’s life will be held when it is safe to do so.
