Bangor – Mary Leona Snow, 92, passed away peacefully at her home December 11, 2019. She was born January 19, 1927, in Ashland, and raised by her grandparents, Albert and Susan Casey.
M. Leona was employed with Ashland Elementary School and later worked at BMHI in the geriatric unit for 12 years. She was a devoted member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Bangor. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Ashland-Tillikum #99.
She is survived by her five children, Mary Joyce Bevacqua and her husband, Charles, of Palm Coast, Florida, Jack L. Snow and his wife, Pamela, of Gorham, Jerry D. Snow and his wife, Glenda of Palm Coast, Florida, Marilyn Marczynski, of Palm Coast, Florida, and Marlene J Hatch and her husband, David, of Leominster, MA; grandchildren, Vincent, Paul, Gregory, Anita, and Yanno Bevacqua, Robert Snow, John Snow, April Clark, Jeremy Snow, Bridget Olmstead, Allen Hatch, Amy Longonecker, Jenny Marczynski; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 76 years, J. Albert Snow; and son-in-law, Alfonso Marczynski.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice and staff for the exceptional care they provided to Leona.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 12 p.m. with Dr. Steve Smith, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Bangor, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, immediately following the service Tuesday.
