Max Draper

Exeter - M. Eric Draper, 73, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sept 2, 2024. He was born Feb 3, 1951 to Max O. Draper and Marilyn (Chadbourne) Clapp. Eric grew up in Corinna, graduated Class of 1970 from Nokomis Newport, Maine. Eric spent his entire life in the Corinna and Exeter area.

He worked at Eastland Woolen Mill, HP Hoods Newport Plant where he learned many different trades. He finished his career as a truck driver. He enjoyed his time behind the wheel of the big truck. Eric had many hobbies and interests, fishing trips, hunting, camping, anything that would take him outside. He was only just a phone call away to anyone who needed help, no matter how big or small, Eric would be there. His time spent with family is what brought him the greatest joy.

Eric is survived by his mother, Marilyn Clapp of Exeter; sister, Holly Worster of Corinna; half-sister, Maxine Beckman of Wellington; children, Terri Knight of Palmyra, Marc Draper (Lori) of Exeter, and Kelli Dodge (Paul) of Ripley; grandchildren, Danielle, Brooke, Kyle, Connor, Katie, Kyle, Caroline, Jenna, Peyton, and Blake; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Kynsley, and Miley.

Eric was predeceased by his father, Max Draper; step father, Elwood Clapp, who he had a special bond with; brother-in-law, Kenneth Worster; son-in-law, Corey Dodge.

To know Eric was to love him. He will be greatly missed by many.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1195 Stetson Road, Exeter. Following the service everyone is invited to share conversation and refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
