Merton Ray “Pudgy” Stormann

Merton Ray “Pudgy” Stormann, 78, died peacefully at home, February 11, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 16, 1936 in Stillwater, son of Eugene E. and Leta E. (Spearin) Stormann.
Ray served three years in the Marine Corps, then went to work at the Department of Agriculture in the accounting department. He was in the Navy and air guards for a short time.
Ray enjoyed line dancing, square dancing, roller skating and ice skating, and hunting and fishing with his brothers.
He met Nina roller skating at the age of 15 and they were married in 1955, enjoying almost 60 years together.
Ray will be remembered as a gentle, kind, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Surviving are his loving wife, Nina (Smart) Stormann, of Bangor; two daughters, Wanda Parker and her husband, Michael of Old Town, Cindy Hubbard and her husband, Rick of Exeter; one granddaughter, Candace Skillin and her husband, Donald of Bucksport; one great granddaughter, Autumn Rae-Marie Skillin of Bucksport; two brothers, Brian Stormann of Lincoln, Gerald Stormann of KS.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dory Tucker and Gayle Buck.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Orono in the spring,
