Michael A. Cutler died after a long illness on February 21, 2021, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 11, 1956, in Bangor, the son of David and Diane (Schwat) Cutler.
Michael attended Bangor schools and graduated from the University of Maine at Orono. He was the fourth generation to join the family’s retail business of Cutler’s in Old Town, developed a new niche with customized products that became Cutler’s Embroidery, and subsequently relocated it to Bangor.
Michael was predeceased by his father, David Cutler, and is survived by his mother, Diane Cutler, his sister and brother–in-law, Judy and Tom Sproule of Trenton, his niece Anya, and nephews Jonathan and Samuel.
