Hampden – Michael Kenneth Iobst, 49, died unexpectedly May 21, 2020. He was born July 1, 1970, in Endicott, NY, the son of Russell D. and Keneen (Brown) Iobst.
Michael graduated from Hempfield High School in Landisville, PA in 1998, and went on to attend Messiah College. He worked as a Customer Information Business Systems Analyst for Emera Maine.
Michael had an eclectic taste in music and movies and relished sharing song choices and movie suggestions. He was an artist, whether drawing, painting, writing, or inventing funny songs. As a father, he loved and was incredibly proud of his daughters and enjoyed sharing what they did, and who they were becoming. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and all the things he did to make his family laugh. His presence will be missed dearly.
He was predeceased by his father, Russell Iobst.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Zoë and Lilah Iobst, of Bangor, ME; mother, Keneen Iobst, of Lititz, PA; sister, Laurie (Iobst) Keller and her husband, David, of Hershey, PA; nieces, Ellie Keller, of Hermitage, TN, and Maggie (Keller) Lucas and her husband, Jacob, of Hagerstown, MD; nephew, Ethan Keller, of Hershey, PA; Karl and Maryalice Brown, of Otego, NY; Marie Iobst, of Binghamton, NY; and cousins, Lindsey (Brown) Stanton, Kathryn (Brown) Joseph, and Tammy (Piech) Burkee.
Those who wish to remember Michael in a special way may make gifts in his memory to a charity of their choice.
