Bangor and Alabama – Michael T. Sherman II, 43, passed away peacefully at home in Bangor, September 30, 2016. He was born January 22, 1973, in Bangor, the son of Larry and Sharon (Tracy) Sherman.
Mike graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1991, and attended the University of Alabama. He made Alabama his home for 26 years before moving back to Bangor in early 2016. Mike was a very kind man. He was full of love for his family, friends, and his dog, Dakota. He had many passions and hobbies. He very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker, and playing his guitar. But most of all, Mike loved watching college football, and his team, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. (Roll Tide!)
Mike was predeceased by his father, Larry Sherman; paternal grandparents, Ted and Ethel Sherman; and maternal grandparents, Beecher and Ella Tracy. He will be extremely missed and is survived by his mother, Sharon Sherman, of Bangor; sister Kim Lee and husband Travis, of Glenburn; his very special niece, Jenna Jameson, and his “little Buddy”, nephew Eli Lee. Mike is also survived by many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date. Those who wish to remember Mike in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the American Heart Association, Maine Affiliate, Inc., 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04101.
