Frankfort – Mildred A (Littlefield) Baker, 89, has gone to her heavenly home on January 13, 2023.
Born on October 27, 1933, in Searsport, Mildred was brought up in the prospect area and met the love of her life, Earl Baker, at a baseball game in Winterport. They married just before Earl was sent overseas to Germany. Upon his return they built the home that they have lived in for the last 70 years. Mildred was very proud of raising her two sons Randy and Ronald into wonderful adult men. Raising two boys certainly had challenges such as finding dirt bikes in the living room being repaired on the carpet. After the boys were older, she went to work in Searsport at the Bayview Boarding Home where she worked for 12 years. She also worked tirelessly beside her sister Ruth Stone helping organize the West Frankfort Fire Department.
Mildred is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Bessie (Seekins) Littlefield; her son, Ronald Baker; brothers, Albert, Hershel and Walter Jr.; sisters, Ruth Stone, Alice White, Ida Mitchell, Clara Hendricks and Lucretia Gamble. She is survived by her oldest son, Randy Baker and his wife Althea; grandson, Brent Baker and wife Kristi and their children Memphis and Declan, of Frankfort, Alex Baker and wife Susan and their children, Isaac, Ethan and Cassandra, of Grey; a special sister-in-law, Judy Littlefield, of Prospect; many nieces and nephews who were all very dear to her heart.
A memorial service will be held for the family in the spring at the Pilgrims Cemetery in Monroe.
