ETNA and BANGOR – Muriel (Walsh) Frati, 97, wife of the late Enrico Frati died Dec. 12, 2018 at a Bangor Healthcare center. Muriel was born November 15, 1921 in Bangor, daughter of John and Gertrude (Knights) Walsh.
She lived at the family home in Etna and then moved on to Bangor in later years. Muriel was an active member of the Carmel-Etna Extension Group, Milwee Chapter #198 OES of Orrington, Bangor Nature Club and Bangor Senior Center.
She is survived by her extended family: Louise Harris of Louisiana, Peter Frati and his wife, Helen of Brunswick, Joanna Hitt of South Carolina and Orlando Frati Sr. and his wife, Charlene of Bangor. She was predeceased by step-son, Hugo Frati and his wife, Darlene. A special thank you to Kay Stanchfield for being such a caring and loving friend and Winterberry Heights for their care and support.
In keeping with Muriel’s request, burial will be private in the family lot at Birch Grove Cemetery, Glenburn. For those who wish, gifts in Muriel’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 65 South Park Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
