Nancy Doughty

Nancy L Doughty, age 68 passed away after a courageous fight against multiple cancers. Nancy was born August 11, 1946, the daughter of Claude & Beatrice Sawyer. Nancy graduated Bangor High School and attended the University of Maine, Orono. Nancy was active in her community and loved by many. Nancy is predeceased by sister Joanne Bedford, brother Donald Sawyer, sister Gloria George, niece Teri Cole, nephew Timmy George, nephew Jimmy Jr. and nephew in-law Sid Oakes. Nancy was married and has two children, daughter Kelly (Doughty) Bermingham of California with husband and daughter Rashanna (Doughty) O’Brien of Hudson, Maine with husband John. Surviving brothers and sisters include sister Barbara Russell of Levant; brother Jimmy Sawyer and sister Jane Huff of Orlando, Florida, brother Robert Sawyer and wife and beloved Aunt Edie of Bangor with son Michael; Brother William and aunt Annette of Eddington, with children Tammy and Scott; and children of Gloria, Gary and wife Lori with children Dylan, Nicholas, Logan and Eve; Darrell, Kimberly and April, with husband Jim, and children Emily and Ian of Florida. Additionally, Nancy was fond of her close friends that cared for her and watched over her, including Liz Coffin, Frieda Davis Jeannie Lermond, Sue Skinner and Michelle Wood of Hampden, Maine; Bob Dore and Nancy Golding of Bangor; Linda Rodgers of Brewer, Maine and long time neighbors the Bodges in Hampden.
