Nancy L. (Pierce) Luttrell

Nancy L. (Pierce) Luttrell, 89, passed away on February 10, 2025 at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. She was born at home in Bangor on June 12, 1935, the middle daughter of Arthur L. and Sarah "Sadie" (Grant) Pierce. Nancy graduated from Bangor High School in 1953 and married her husband, Philip C. Luttrell, the following April. They resided in Bangor and celebrated 70 years of marriage. Nancy worked for many years alongside her parents and siblings in her father's grocery business before obtaining a job as a guidance secretary for the Bangor School Department for over 20 years, retiring with her husband in 1994. Together, Nancy and Philip spent many winters in Florida in their camper and always enjoyed spending time on the coast. Nancy devoted most of her time to her family and grandchildren, whom she adored.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Lois (Pierce) and Daniel Spellman of Hampden; brother-in-law, Paul Wilbur of Hermon; and sister-in-law, Patricia (Luttrell) Gallupe. She is survived by her husband, Phil; two daughters, Diane (Luttrell) Smith of Bangor, and Linda Stevens and her husband, Sheldon, of Hermon; grandchildren, Ryan Smith DDS., of York, Kyle McLaughlin of Corinna, Scott McLaughlin of Garland, Erin (Smith) Chasson and her husband, Michael, of Brewer, two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Avery Chasson; sister, Phyllis Wilbur of Hermon; brother-in-law, Donald Gallupe of Bangor; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
