Nancy G. Paul
Bangor-Orono -Nancy (Getchell) Paul, 80, beloved wife of the late Joe Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, March 12, 2016. She was born in Bangor, December 13, 1935, daughter of Fred M. and Dorothy (Rose) Getchell. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and Husson College. Nancy worked as a medical secretary; for the Orono School department, then opened Pretty Woman clothing store in Orono. She was a long-time volunteer in the gift shop at St. Joseph Hospital, and past president of Patawa Club. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and was an AVID Boston Red Sox fan. She was predeceased by her husband and a daughter Pamela Anne. Survivng are three children, David Paul of Veazie, Jeffrey Paul and his wife, Kate of Orrington, Stephanie Paul and her partner, Derrick Campbell of East Providence R.I.; grandchildren, Kayla and Darby Paul, Chelsea, Chloe and Caleigh Paul, and Cade Campbell; step-grandchildren, Kaila and Sam Moore; one sister, Martha McSorley and her husband Larry of Bangor, one brother, Rick Getchell of Winterport; a daughter-in-law, Marie Ewing; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Laurie Ann McSorley and special nephew Michael McSorley. The family would like to thank Dr. Chodkiewicz of CCOM, Nancy O%u2019Connor, PA-C, and the wonderful, caring staff at St. Joseph Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held noon Thursday March17, 2016. Spring interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
