Neil Zeno

August 5, 1954 — January 31, 2022

Brewer – Neil Douglas Zeno, Sr, 67, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, January 31, 2022 following a long battle with Covid. Neil was born in Burlington, Vermont on August 5, 1954, the son of Roy and Elizabeth (Viau) Zeno.
Neil married Candy Eudy in 2004 and together they raised three amazing children, Carol Fay (his little shrimpy who shared his love of seafood), of Levant, Maine; Mikayla Fay of Bangor, Maine, and Jonathon Fay of Winooski, Vermont. He also has two children from a previous marriage, Cindy and Neil Zeno Jr, of Vermont.
Neil was always a hard worker and go getter who spent his life running his own business in landscaping and property maintenance until he retired in 2014 when Neil and Candy moved to Maine. For the last 8 years he has helped in Candy’s daycare and brought smiles to so many children every day.
Neil was an avid bowler, loved hunting and fishing and in recent years his favorite spot to be was at camp sitting next to the ocean watching the lobster boats go by. The ocean was his favorite place to be. Neil was a big teddy bear who loved life and always was excited to go on an adventure with his wife on weekends. He was always there with an open ear and was full of opinions for us all. He was a strong, spirited man who has left a huge hole in all our hearts now.
He is survived by his wife, Candy Zeno of Brewer, Maine; a very special grandson, Levi Nelson of Bangor, Maine, his children; his brothers and sister; Michael and Darlene Zeno of Colchester, Vermont, Thomas and Mary Zeno of Arizona, Mark Zeno of Malone, New York, and Donna and Sam Gould of Tennessee; as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He also leaves behind a very special “grandma” Barbara Hatin and his close and dearest best friend for many years, Leland Owen. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Roy and Elizabeth Zeno.
Neil’s wishes were to have a simple cremation and come home to be with his wife. There will be no service or visiting hours.
