Norman Craig

August 30, 1931 — November 14, 2020

BANGOR - Norman S. Craig, 89, passed on to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, November 14, 2020. Norman was born in Brookton, Maine on August 30, 1931, to Donald and Marguerite (Cameron) Craig. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Levola (Hamel) Craig, and two sons, Daniel, David and a step-daughter, Elizabeth.

Norman also left behind one very special granddaughter, Kristina Fish and great-grandson, Max Gross.

Norman had several special nieces and nephews, Cindy Lavertu, Mark Craig, Cathy Bemis, Lisa Winters, Kim Cameron, Jon Small, Dawn Small, and Cheryl Long.

He was predeceased by his sister, Fauna Small; and brother, Rev. Dana Craig. Norman was also predeceased by a very special grandson, David Mathew Craig. Norman wanted it to be known that he died with a broken heart as David was the love of his life.

Norman owned and operated many service stations and sold used cars for many, many years in the Bangor area. He also owned and operated many apartments and a motel in Bangor.

Above all, Norman deeply cared about his relationship with Jesus. And he let it be known he was Pentecostal and proud of it.

Norman loved his family. He was a generous and thoughtful son, brother, husband, father, and friend. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help others. He loved spending time with his boys out on the water. And with his final breath he was making sure his family had what they needed.

A private burial will be held per his request.
