Pamela (Ewing) Martin, 68, passed away May 14, 2019 after enduring a five month hospitalization with complications. She was born in Dayton, KY, on December 14, 1950, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Meadows) Ewing.
Pam graduated from Alexandria High School, Campbell County, KY. Class of 1968.
Married to John Martin, the love of her life, while living a full life enjoying Bingo, yard sales, traveling, and bargain hunting at Goodwills. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Bangor area hospitals for many years.
Pam’s passion was volunteering her time to community activities, includes directing the Y players, 20 plus years, to support the Encore program and Y scholarships, singing and dancing at various nursing homes and to the veterans, playing Mrs Claus within the community, supporting the Bangor Grange, entertainment at Hollywood casino, among other venues.
Surviving are her husband, John; daughter Maryeva Martin; grandsons Asher Martin and Sawyer Martin; a brother Allen Ewing;
She was predeceased by a brother Ricky Ewing.
The family invites relatives and friends for a celebration of life to start at 5 pm with reception and refreshments to follow until 7 pm. Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
