Pamela “Pam” Perro, 73, passed away at her home in Winterport on December 23, 2023. Pam was born on November 6, 1950 to parents Robert and Mary (Hatt) Perro in Old Town, Maine.
A social butterfly, Pam enjoyed interfacing with family and staff at her home in Winterport. Pam loved to travel, often visiting her sister who lived in Virginia at the time. She loved long drives throughout her beautiful home state, especially if it included a stop for coffee. She also enjoyed being with her many friends at Living Innovations in Bangor.
For almost 30 years, Pam lived in homes provided and staffed by Opportunity Housing, Inc. (OHI). She was blessed by the presence of dedicated staff who came to know and love her, an emotion she strongly shared. It was obvious to her family how strongly Pam felt about these dedicated people. Although she depended upon them for her support, it was far more than that to her and to her family.
In addition to her parents, Pamela was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and John. She is survived by her sister, Roberta Gossner who lives with husband, John, and son, Andy, in Norman, Oklahoma. She has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews scattered throughout Maine. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gifts in Pam’s memory may be made in her name to OHI, 203 Maine Avenue, Bangor Maine, where it would be used to support others in need.
