Patricia Mae Caldwell, 75, met her Savior face to face on February 17, 2024. She was born November 8, 1948, the daughter of William and Nellie (Moody) Jones.
Pat was born in Waldoboro the second grandchild of PB and Bertha Moody, founders of Moody’s diner. She attended schools in Waldoboro, graduating as the salutatorian of her class in 1966. Pat went on to attend and graduate from Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing and eventually moved to Bangor where she spent 33 years as a public health nurse for the State of Maine. She was a member of the Bangor Baptist Church (now Crosspoint Church) serving over the years in many areas and several times traveling with a medical missions team to the Philippines.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Benjamin Caldwell of Hermon; three children, Karen Pinkham and husband Dorin of Orono, Adam Caldwell and wife Amy of Corinth, and Thomas Caldwell and wife Myranda of Hermon; and her 16 grandchildren and their spouses. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Jones and wife Laura, Barrett Jones and wife Peggy, and Bruce Jones and wife Janet; as well as many nieces, nephews, and special aunt, Debbie Bellows. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Rebecca Little. The family would like to thank St. Joseph’s hospice team and Lynda G. for the outstanding care and support.
Funeral services will be held, 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. Friends may gather with the family from 2:00 PM until the start of the services. Interment will be in the spring at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Missions Fund of Crosspoint Church, 1476 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401.
