Patricia Louise (Wells) Cardillo, 81, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. She was born on December 12, 1942, in East Greenwich, RI, the daughter of Irving Frederick and Mary Loretta (Sisson) Wells.
When Patricia was a teenager she dedicated her life to being one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith was very meaningful to her. God’s promises of a better future kept Patricia positive despite battling poor health for many years. She was an out going person and enjoyed doing things for others. Patricia was an excellent cook, loved entertaining, collecting tea cups, crocheting when she needed to relax and reaching out to others that needed a listening ear. She loved scallops and everyone knew if she needed a pick me up – bring her out to a lovely scallop dinner. Patricia was a hard worker in raising 5 children. If they needed something, she would find a way to do it. Patricia enjoyed relaxing by the ocean, or sitting by a fire during the cold winter months. Most of all, she loved being with her family any time or anywhere she could. She spent the last few years residing at Madigan Estates in Houlton. The staff went above and beyond in making her comfortable in any way they could. Her family is grateful for their help in caring for Patricia in such a loving way.
She is survived by her children; Antonio Cardillo and wife Linda, Joel Cardillo and wife Kelly, Candice Evans and husband Barry, Erin Hodgkins, and Christine DeSantis and husband Scott; siblings, Constance Padula, Timothy Wells and wife Ruth, Peter Wells and wife Sandra, Rebecca Fischer, and Marianne Mathis and husband Ned; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as many new and life long friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Antonio Cardillo in 2015.
At her request, there will be no services. Gifts in her memory may be made to diabetes.org or to jw.org. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com
