Patricia Irene Cole
Bangor - Patricia (Paulette) Cole, 91 wife of the late William H Cole passed away November 17, 2018. She was born In Brewer Maine October 19, 1927 one of 13 children born to Clement and Marjorie (Sutton) Paulette Sr. She married William Cole on February 18, 1947 at First Congregational Church of Brewer. After they were married they lived out of state for many years. Upon returning to Maine they owned and operated several small businesses over the years. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years serving as a Communion Steward, working in the thrift shop and serving on many other committees.
Pat was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching and listening to the games even staying up late when they were playing on the west coast. One of her fondest memories was attending a game at Fenway Park with her church friends. She and Bill were also "Saturday Nighters" snowmobilers and spent many hours with the CB'ers Radio Club. Pat enjoyed being a Great Aunt to many great nieces and nephews and was always willing to put aside whatever she was doing to babysit whenever she was needed.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Reginald, Ronald, Clement Jr. and Arthur Paulette: and five sisters, Clementine Paulette, Gloria Johnson, Marjorie Dumond, Rosemary Paulette and Joanne McPhee.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert Paulette, and his wife Marlene, Frank Paulette, one sister, Donna Frost and her husband, Philip; many nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Barry Cole , Judy Days and Jean Gelinas and step grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday November21st, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor Darlene Shortt, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call 12 noon until time of service. Interment will be in Mt Hope Cemetery following the service. Gifts in her name may be sent to Grace United Methodist Church, 193 Union St., Bangor, ME 04401.
