Patty J. Parks, 86, died peacefully surrounded by her family, June 5th, 2024 at a Bangor Rehab Center. She was born July 10th, 1937, in Little Deer Isle, Maine, the daughter of Peter S. Haskell IV and Mamie Eaton.
Patty graduated from Stonington High School, Class of 55’. Following graduation, Patty was an avid fisherman and clam digger. From there went onto a wonderful life of driving school bus in the Bangor area for over 30 years. After her days of driving were over, she was a crossing guard to fill her time.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Becky S. Joy; son, Darrell (Bubba) Parks Jr; three daughter in-laws, Denise Hutchinson, Belinda Hutchinson and Laura Page; two son in-laws, Harry (Butch) Joy and John Rice; grandchildren, Theisa, Andrew, Rebecca, Heather, Chad, Amanda, Jeffery "J.J", Anthony, Dante, Justenah; great grandchildren, Jenessa, Dakota, Dylan, Tyler, Emily, McKinley, Samson, Hailey, Alyssa, Parker, Fiona, Wyatt, Stella, Theo, Oden; great-great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Laylah, Reed, Everal, and Teagan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Royal and Clyde Haskell; three sisters, Annie, Violette, and Colleen; two sons, Myron A Hutchinson Jr and Jeffery P.C. Hutchinson; daughter, Sandra A. Rice; and great-grandchild, Jolene.
The family would like to send a special thank you and heart felt appreciation to the staff and faculty of the Eastside Center for Health and Rehabilitation for their caring nature and tremendous care for her since she arrived and a special thank you to Dawne (Partridge) Trueworthy for all she did to make it possible. We are forever grateful to you all.
