Paul Bigda

August 2, 1958 — December 5, 2016

Bangor - Dr. Paul D. Bigda, 58, passed away suddenly and went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2016 at his home in Bangor. He was born August 2, 1958 in Ware, MA, the son of Sabina T. Mosakewicz and William Bigda.

Paul graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1986, and opened a private practice, Eastern Maine Podiatry, in Bangor. He was in practice for nearly 30 years, and took pride not only in treating but in getting to know his patients, many of whom also became his friends.
Paul was deeply committed to ministry, and graduated from World Harvest Bible College in 2007. In addition to serving his community at Carmel Full Gospel Church, he was passionate about working with His Rest Ministries – a charity he founded to provide medical supplies to communities in Ghana. He loved to spend time outdoors, sit by the ocean, and especially to share the summer boating season with friends, family, and his faithful dog.

Surviving is his loving wife, Nancy, with whom he shared 34 years together and raised a family in Bangor. In addition to his wife are his daughters, Lindsay Bigda, Nicole Lever and her husband, Charlie Lever, and Ashley Bigda. Paul also leaves behind his sister, Kathy Masotti; his brothers, William Bigda and his wife Beatrice, John Bigda and his wife Lea; and his three nephews.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Paul’s life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
