Pauline H. Hopkins, 91, died July 29, 2022, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 16, 1930 in Kingfield the daughter of H. Fulton and Helen (Robb) Haskins.
Pauline graduated from St. Croix High School in Woodland in the Class of 1948 where she was co-valedictorian of her class. She then graduated from Husson College with a degree in business. At Husson College she was a member of Epsilon Tau Epsilon sorority and stayed connected with her friends throughout her life. Pauline met her late husband of 64 years, Galen Hopkins, while they both worked at JH Fleming Tire Company.
She is survived by her daughters; Mary Ellen Sites and partner Charles of Bangor, Robin Fitzherbert and husband Terry of Eliot, and Nancy Howe and husband Mike, and children Julia and Andy of Dedham. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons Robert and Harold.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
