Eddington – Peggy L. Gerald, 76, passed away peacefully, April 25, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 3, 1944, in Machias, the daughter of John E. and Amy L. (Armstrong) Waugh.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her son-in-law, “Skip” Smith. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 60 years, Paul, of Eddington, are her son, Jeffery Gerald and his wife, Laurie, of Dedham; daughter, Johnna Smith, of Newburgh; grandchildren, David McCourt and his wife, Katie, John Gerald and his wife, Martina, Matthew Spaulding and his wife, Ashley, and Haley Spaulding; great-grandchildren, Esme, Marseille McCourt, Ethan and Cole Spaulding, Cameron and Khloe Manning; brother-in-law, David Waugh and his wife, Mary Lou; and her best friend, Sharon Leavitt.
At Peggy’s request, services will be private. Those who wish to remember Peggy in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route One, Suite 2C Scarborough, ME 04074.
