Penelope "Penny" D. LaVoice, 95, passed away peacefully December 12, 2021, at her home. She was born February 17, 1926, in Sinclair, the daughter of Paul and Hannah (Michaud) Chamberland.
Penny was an avid seamstress, quilter and knitter. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, and was a member of the Bangor Singles Club. Penny had worked most of her life in retail. She worked for Mainway, Nite Owl (later Green Gables), Loring, Short and Harmon, and JCPenney.
Penny is survived by her children, Brad Benson, Bruce Benson, Ben Benson, and Gisele LaVoice-Robinson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Blaine, Bryan, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew and Jett; and a sister, Marleen. She was predeceased by her siblings, Candide, Claire, Aldeo "Joe," Theodora "Ted," Carmelita "Carm," and Donald "Charlie."
