Hermon- Percy Doughty, 85, passed away peacefully, July 30, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 5, 1929 in Atkinson. Percy was a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Crafters, and was a member of the Hermon School Board. Percy liked to read, hunt and fish, but mostly he just loved spending time with his wife Nancy. In addition to his parents, Roscoe and Maude (Ramsdell) Doughty, Percy was predeceased by his wife Nancy Doughty; three brothers, Marvin, Ervin, and Gary Doughty. He is survived by his sons, Wayne Doughty and his wife, Beth of Hermon, Bruce Doughty and his wife Roberta of Hermon, and Jeffrey Doughty, Sr. and his wife, Carole of Sebring, FL; grandchildren, Shayne Doughty and his wife, Renea, Jeffrey Doughty and his wife, Lucy, Melissa Doughty and her fiancé, Craig, Liza Muth and her husband, Jeremy, Bruce Patrick Doughty and his wife, Geneviere, Nancy Doughty-Stitham and her husband, Jon; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters, Carmen and her husband, Norman Clark of Florida, Donna and her husband, Dennis Honey of Bangor, and Shirley Harrison of Hermon; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands and Beacon Hospice for the compassionate care and support shown to Percy. Graveside committal services will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments following the committal at 220 New Boston Road, Hermon.
