Philip Winchester

March 14, 1942 — November 16, 2021

Philip R. Winchester, 79 of Orland passed away from declining health on November 16, 2021. He was born to Hollis and Helen Winchester of Brewer on March 14, 1942. He was a 1960 graduate of Brewer High School.

Philip was employed by the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad for 36 years. He was also well know for his masonry work as well, working for Maine Masonry and for himself. Philip was an avid lover of golf, hunting and fishing and any tall tales to go with those adventures. He was a cruise ship aficionado and traveled to too many places to list.

Philip is survived by his wife, Janice McLaughlin Winchester of Orland; daughter, Leslie Winchester-Mabee and husband, James, of Bangor; son, Todd Winchester of Bangor; step daughter, Lisa Sherman and husband, Jerry of Brewer; Step son, Robert Hamm and wife, Lisa of Brunswick; grandchildren, Airman, Nolan Mabee of the US Airforce, Ashton, Adella and Rheannon Mabee; Step grandchildren, Chelsea Kirk, Alison Burditt, Shayne Brinda, Ryan, Zachary and Molly Hamm; sisters, Linda Winchester-Merrill RN of Orrington and Debbie Rowe of Brewer Lake; special cousins, Sidney and Larry Winchester; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by daughter, Tracy Winchester Cuba; brothers, Edward and James Winchester; sisters, Bette Ellet, and Shirley Dooey.
