Phyllis Cote

BANGOR – Phyllis M. Cote, 87, died April 7, 2015 at a local hospital. She was born September 19, 1927, in Milo, the daughter of Fred P. and Myrtle P. (Mayo) Hall.
Phyllis attended the Milo schools. She worked several years for Community Health and Counseling Services. Phyllis loved most of all being the homemaker for her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, knitting, camping, friends and country music. Phyllis was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. The family wants to thank Westgate Center and St. Joseph Hospital for the kind and loving care provided to Phyllis.
Phyllis is survived by four children, Gary Cote and his wife, Lillian of Milo, Richard Cote and his wife, Karen of Winterport, Debbie DePhilippo and her husband, Edward of Bangor, and Paul Cote and his fiancée, Lisa Thomas of Bangor; eight grandchildren, Jayda Maher, Melina Foss, Michelle Herrick, Amy Henderson, Erin DePhilippo, Kristina DePhilippo, Alicia Cote, and Levi Cote; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Shirley Izzi; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by, her husband of 67 years, T. Bradley “Brad” Cote; a grandson, Jason Cote; three brothers, Roland Hall, Maurice Hall, and James Hall.
Graveside service will be held 12 noon, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, 449 Ohio St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. Family and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the service.
