Priscilla E. Peavey passed peacefully at home in Nashua, New Hampshire on September 15, 2024. She was born in Bangor on February 25, 1942 to Charles and Louise (Stratton) Peavey. She grew up in Bangor and graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in 1960. She graduated from Charlotte County Hospital School of Nursing in St. Stephen, NB, in 1963, and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine to become a nurse practitioner. Priscilla worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston for nearly her entire career, retiring in 2008. Priscilla travelled extensively and visited every continent except Australia. Her travels to China and Africa were some of her favorites. She loved animals and spending time with family, travelling home to Maine for every holiday. She enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews on adventures and spoiled them immensely. Priscilla was predeceased by her sister, Juliet Parent, and is survived and missed by siblings Rosemary (and Keith) Hepler, David (and Laura) Peavey, Laurence (and Sharon) Peavey, several nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Janet Lovely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, October 26, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor with a reception following in the church hall. Private interment will be in Monroe Village Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
