BANGOR - Rachael S. “Rocki” Turcotte, 54, passed quietly in her sleep September 27, 2024, at a local hospital. She was born November 26, 1969, at Hale Hospital, Haverhill, Massachusetts, the daughter of Nancy & Russell “POPS” Dow and predeceased by her father, Carl L. Abrahams Sr.
If you met Rocki, you met a new friend. Her love and friendship were always loyal and true.
Rocki’s passions besides her family were crafts, cooking and baking. She & Bruce would cook and entertain their many friends and family on weekends. Their home always filled with love, good food and their door was open to all.
In addition to Rocki’s Mom & Pops, she leaves a son, Nicholas Mitchell; two grandsons, Christopher & Hayden Mitchell; Bruce Gothrow, her love and life partner whom she cherished with all her heart; siblings; Lisa, Christine, Carl, Terri, Fawn, Jim, Jeremy, Frank & Kate; three dear, close friends of 45yrs+ that kept in touch were by her side bringing love and light to her last days: Karen Milliken, Kathy Binan & Chris Kelly. A “sister”, Sherri Licata who never left her side for the last 4 years of this journey. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends and loved ones. Rocki was predeceased by her siblings, Linda, Donna, Dusty, Carol & Russell IV.
At Rocki’s request services will be private. Bruce will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date. Rocki fought a hard battle with cancer and her wishes are for anyone that cares to please donate to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center, C/O Northern Light Health Foundation, P.O.
