Rachel Pelkey

March 16, 1951 — July 10, 2023

Rachel Anne Pelkey, 72, passed away Monday July 10, 2023, at Northern Light EMMC with her family surrounded by her side. She was born March 16, 1951, in Lincoln, the daughter of Warren and Rebecca (Mitchell) Pond.

Rachel loved to cook and was always camping, hunting, and fishing with her family. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had so many friends and family that loved her and will miss her dearly.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Heidi Harper and Beck Bass and a special daughter Marie Mushero. Sister Sherry Roberts and husband Donnie and niece Nicole Woodman. Granddaughter Tori Harper, 2 grandsons Scott Boober and Josh Bass and 5 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Mitchell Brent Pond and great grandson Mason Boober.

There will be a small Celebration of Life at the First Assembly of God Church, 614 Finson Road, Bangor at 12:30 PM, Saturday, July 22, 2023. A potluck following the service will be held downstairs for those that would like to celebrate Rachel. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
