Rachel Hilda Rich, 81, passed away peacefully December 4, 2017, at a Brewer healthcare facility. She was born May 30, 1936, in Houlton, the daughter of Stanley J. and Nellie B. (Victory) Kelley.
Rachel worked in the cafeteria for the Bangor School Department for 28 years. Over the past several years she enjoyed her many kind friends at Chamberlain Place in Brewer playing Beano and Tai-Chi and being together over the holidays and birthdays brought much meaning into her life.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward Rich; a daughter, Carrie Honeman and husband Donald; four grandchildren, David Honeman, Emily Parker and husband Jefferson, Christopher Rich and wife Kayla, and Corey Rich; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Parker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and siblings, Rachel was predeceased by a son Stanley Rich in 2005.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 PM, Saturday, Dec. 9, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at 12:45 PM, Saturday, at the Superintendents Lodge, State Street entrance, Bangor.
