Randy Michael King

August 3, 1972 — April 19, 2025

BANGOR - Randy Michael King, 52, passed away peacefully at his home on April 19, 2025 after a courageous eight-year battle with colon cancer. He was born August 3, 1972, in Waterville, Maine, the son of Michael and Doreen (Clark) King.

Diagnosed in 2017 and given just 18 months to live, Randy defied all odds with extraordinary strength, resilience, and determination. He lived far beyond his prognosis, embracing each day with grit, grace, and an unwavering spirit. Following his diagnosis, Randy and his family focused on creating lasting memories. Among his favorite adventures were many cruises to the Bahamas and a cherished visit to St. John, USVI, shared with those he loved most.

Randy's greatest pride was his children, Gabrielle and Garrett. He found immense joy in their accomplishments and character, considering them his proudest legacy.

A devoted baseball fan, Randy had a lifelong love for the game and especially the Boston Red Sox. He visited 13 Major League Baseball stadiums across the U.S. and Canada, always holding Fenway Park close to his heart. He also found great peace in fishing with his son, Garrett, and his father.

In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by his loving wife, Jeni King; children, Gabrielle and Garrett King; sister, Amy Shearer; nieces, Abigail Fidler, Olivia and Anna Shearer; and his nephew, Benjamin Fidler. He was predeceased by his niece, Julia Shearer.

He also leaves behind a close circle of friends who were like family and stood by him with unwavering love and support throughout his life: Heather and JJ Fidler, Dana and Terri Higgins, Kiran Small, Eric Field, David Hainer, and Matthew Rocca.
