Raymond L. Chase

Raymond L. Chase, 86, died January 1, 2014 at a Bangor health care facility, after a brief illness. He was born in Bar Harbor December 19, 1927, son of Raymond and Sylvia Chase.
Raymond served in the US Army during WW II and the Korean War when he was stationed in Japan. Raymond worked for N.H. Bragg and Sons for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of the Bangor Grange, and enjoyed horses and harness racing.
Surviving are his wife Elizabeth (Stewart) Chase of Bangor; two sons, Keith of Vermont, Kevin of Glenburn, four daughters, Roxanne (Russell) Jordan of Waltham, Suretta “Tina” (Russell) Murphy of Bangor, Mary (Russell) Shelley of Hermon, Roberta “Bobbi” (Russell) Carpenter of Bangor; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A service of Remembrance will be held 11 am. Saturday January 11, 2014 at Hammond St. Congregational Chruch, Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Doty, pastor officiating. The family invites folks to a reception at the church, following the service. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Maine Veteran’s Home, 44 Hogan Rd. Bangor, 04401.
