Levant – Raymond Bert Sanborn Jr., 84, passed away peacefully June, 13, 2019 at St. Joseph’s hospital. He was born February 18, 1935, in Hartford CT, the son of Raymond Sr. and Agnes (Cole) Sanborn.
Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing, and camping at Abol Bridge with Barry, Carla and friends. He also enjoyed riding mini bikes for the Anah Shriners. He became a Mason in May of 1960, and was a current member of Olive Branch #124 AFAM of Charleston, and was coroneted a sovereign Grand Inspector General 33rd Degree of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry on September 21, 2004. Raymond also had his pilot’s license and loved to fly.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ellen Sanborn; four children, Raymond III, twins, Ronnie and Connie, and Joey; two step-children, Angela Labbe, and Samuel Doucette; three grandchildren, Ashley Kobylaz, Rosa Labbe, and Sam Doucette Jr.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a memorial reception 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor. Those wishing to remember Raymond in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, C/O Anah Shrine Center, 1404 Broadway Bangor, 04401.
