Gouldsboro – Reinhart G. Duke, 73, went home to be with the Lord April 5, 2020 at Westgate Alzheimer’s Care Facility with his family by his side. He was born April 24, 1946, in Germany, the son of George and Anna Duke.
Reinhart graduated from Sumner High School and later obtained an associate’s degree from the University of Maine, Augusta. Reinhart was married to his high school sweetheart, Ellen Duke. They were married for 53 years.
Through the years, Reinhart, also known as “Papa,” led youth groups, coached basketball, taught adult education, and loved building computers for people.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Edie; and his wife, Ellen, predeceased him in April of 2019.
Surviving is his sister, Barbara Homer; brother, Billy Duke; four children, Veronica Grinnan, Michael Duke, Chris Duke, and Jennifer Andrews; grandchildren, Jonathan Duke, Rebecca Grinnan, Brandon Grinnan, Alexis Andrews, Chloe Andrews, and Bumpy Andrews.
