Rhoda happily spent her entire childhood in Island Falls, ME. After graduating from Island Falls High School, she initially pursued a teaching degree at the University of Maine. Her interest in business, sparked by her father, led her to move to Boston to pursue a career in the financial world. After graduating from business school, she started working for Merrill Lynch. Over the next 40+ years Rhoda enjoyed a career in finance until she retired from Morgan Stanley in 1995. Her passion for finance continued well past retirement.
In the condominium where she lived for over 50 years, Rhoda developed many long-term friendships and played a vital role as a trustee to help improve the financial stability of the association.
For pleasure, Rhoda enjoyed badminton, family gatherings and travel, especially to Foxwoods and Aruba. Through her many visits to Aruba, Rhoda was able to develop relationships that lasted well past her last visit to the island.
In 1989, Rhoda reunited with her childhood friend, Richard “Ollie” Morin, who then became the love of her life. From that day on they had a storybook romance which lasted 30 wonderful years. For the time they were together, she always had a smile on her face.
