Richard Cousins

November 29, 1947 — July 1, 2023

OLD TOWN AND BANGOR - Richard B. “Rick” Cousins Jr., 75, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away July 1, 2023, from complications of Diabetes. He was born November 29,1947, in Old Town, the son of Richard B. Sr. and Bernice (Littlefield) Cousins, of Old Town.

Rick graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1966 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Maine, Orono. His varied work experiences include: working for the family business, PCF, Code Enforcement Officer for the city of Bangor and EDS in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He was a member and Past Master of Star in the East Masonic Lodge #60, A.F & A.M., Old Town, past president of Herbert Gray PTO. Rick enjoyed football (a Brady fan) music, camp and cruises, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his first wife, Anne (Spruce) Cousins Labree, of Plano, Texas and their daughter Dianne (Cousins) Berube, of Gorham, her children Sarah and her husband Sean and their sons of Calais; Noah of Bangor and Anthony of Gorham; son Daniel Cousins and his wife Catherine and their daughter Arden, of Wells; current wife for 47 years, Kathleen (Stahl) Cousins; their son David and his wife Rebecca and their son Alexander; daughter Julie Cousins and her partner James Rickrode, her sons Orrin and his wife Mavis, Old Town, James Jr., Chamberlain, Traze, Joey and daughter, Talitha, of Bangor; sister Arline and Wayne Seavey, of Pushaw and Florida; brother Bob and Judy Cousins, of Homer, Alaska and Bass Harbor; brother John and Maryann Cousins of Brewer and Summerfield, Florida; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Masonic service will be conducted by the officers and members of the Star in the East Lodge #60, A.F. and A.M. of Old Town at 10:30am, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor followed by a memorial service with Dr. Steve Smith, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Bangor and the Corinth United Methodist Church, officiating.
