Hampden – Richard E. Burr, 57, passed away on April 11, 2019 with his loving family and friends around him. He was born in Bangor, September 29, 1961, the son of Lawrence Burr and Patricia Walsh.
Richard was employed as a teacher at Amicus for 28 years working at Edward Bouchea Center for Learning, followed by many years at Treat Falls.
Richard is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia and Franklin Walsh of Bangor; his sisters, Deborah Burr of FL, Donna Cutliffe and her husband, Glenn, of Brunswick, and Cheryl Clark and her husband, Reggie, of Chelsea; his brothers, Timothy Burr and his wife, Cindy, of Bath, and Christopher Walsh and his wife, Robin, of IN; his long time best friend, Merle Moore of Hampden; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Followed by a funeral Liturgy outside of Mass at 6:00 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor immediately following the service.
