Richard Giglio

April 14, 1957 — August 16, 2013

Bangor and Hancock – Richard J Giglio, 56, formerly of Pelham, NY, died August 16, 2013 after a long fight with cancer at home in Hancock. He was born April 14, 1957 in Mt Vernon, NY, the son of Albert G. and Louise J. (Iorio) Giglio.
Richard graduated from Pelham High School, with an HVAC and plumbing certificate from BOCES Vocational School. He earned a Maine Master Plumbers License in 1987. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Mt Chase Fire Department for eleven years and active in the Harley Owners Group.
Including his partner Karen Stratton he is survived by his daughter Corissa of Glenburn and his son Anthony of Augusta and their mother Marie, three grandchildren Alyssa, Ashley and Katerina; siblings include Albert and his wife Laurie of WA, Robert and his wife Karen of NY, Mark of GA and Louise of NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard loved to ride his Harley, travel, be outdoors, build/fix things and spend time with family and friends.
