Richard “Dick” Wayne Gordon, 67, passed away November 8, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 20, 1946, in Bangor the son of Lewis E. and Muriel (Vanidestine) Gordon.
Dick served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had a lifelong love for trains and automobiles. Dick worked in the automobile parts industry all of his life, and especially Volkswagen. He worked for Pine State Volkswagen, Triplett Motors, Ellsworth Autohaus, and Darlings Ford.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janette (Severance) Gordon of Orrington; children, Richard Gordon Jr. and wife Leisha of Hermon, Lewis Gordon and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Desert, Gail Willey and husband Paul of Columbia; sisters, Judy Brosmer and significant other Jon Canfield of Bangor, Brenda Davis of Weeki Wache, FL; grandchildren, Lacy Gordon of Pleasant Point, Joseph Gordon of Hermon. In addition to his parents Dick was predeceased by a sister Jeri Pelletier and her husband Terry.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, Nov. 11, at Marston Cemetery, Orrington. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
