Bangor – Richard “Rick” Lewis Harriman, 58, lost his battle to cancer Thursday, December 3, 2020, with his wife and son by his side at their home in Bangor. His beloved 18-year-old, cat “Lucy,” continually stayed by his side.
Rick was born and grew up in Lincoln, where he found his passion for the game of baseball, he later continued to play every summer on Christian and city softball leagues in Bangor.
In his youth he enjoyed boy scouting and earned his Eagle Scout Badge.
Rick graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln and graduated from University of Maine Machias. He held a master’s degree in Instructional Technology. He was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and was a loyal friend to his brothers and sisters throughout his lifetime.
Rick worked most recently as a Computer Teacher at Central Middle and High School in East Corinth.
For numerous years Rick enjoyed portraying the character Nathaniel Bartholomew in the Easter Passion Play, a portrayal of De Vinci’s last supper at Columbia Street Baptist Church.
Rick’s love for his grandson, Easton, was a pure and precious love.
Rick was predeceased by his father, Robert Harriman of Lincoln. He is survived by his mother, Dawna DeMarey of Lincoln; his wife, Amy; his son, Ben and his girlfriend, Kaycee, and their precious son, Easton, all of Bangor.
A service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Columbia Street Baptist Church, 63 Columbia St., Bangor.
