Richard Parent

Richard “Dick” Leroy Parent, 68, passed away unexpectedly November 7, 2013, at his home in Orrington. He was born March 15, 1945, in S. Brewer the son of Edward J. and Myra M. (Kidder) Parent.

Richard attended Bangor High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army in Korea. He then served in the Army National Guard, #262 Engineer, for over 20 years achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. Richard worked for many years for the City of Bangor as an electrician until his retirement. There are many special memories of times at Parks Pond with his wife Julie. He had an interest in collecting antique autos and did collect a couple that he enjoyed.

He was predeceased by his dear wife Juliet “Julie” A. Parent in 2009. He is survived by children, Scott Parent and wife Patricia of Orrington, Shelly Burns and husband Norman of Levant; siblings, Edward J. Parent and wife Bonny of Hampden, Donna Forthun and husband Vern of Burke, VT, James E. Parent of Orrington; grandchildren, Hillary Cross, Stephanie Parent, Kyle Ford, Emily Ford, and Olivia Burns; Great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gideon, and Abigail; nephews and nieces, Mark, Daniel and Linda, and several great nieces and nephews.
