Richard St. Peter

HOLDEN – Richard “Dick” Paul Richardson St. Peter, born in Caribou, raised in Norridgework, passed from this life to begin his next journey on Thursday November 29, 2018. He joins and was welcomed home by his parents, William and Rena (Richardson) St. Peter; his baby brother, Bobby; and his in-laws, Erlon and Arline Fowler; and others who went before him. He leaves behind the shattered broken hearts of his wife, Shirley, who loved him with every fiber of her being; his devoted children, two sons, Matthew St. Peter and significant other, Linda Dow; Aaron St. Peter and wife, Melinda; a daughter, Brittany St. Peter, whom was the apple of his eyes; and three grandsons, Trevon, Trey, and Brady. He was very proud of his three grandsons. He always considered his daughter’s-in-law, Linda and Melinda, as his own daughters. He is also survived by two brothers, Maurice and David, a sister-in-law, Rose; Shirley’s family, David Fowler and wife, Paula, Beverly Salisbury and husband, Herb, Patricia Violette and husband, Glenn, Edward Fowler and significant other, Barbara; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind is feline family, Moose, Cory, Amelia, Harriet, and Maggie, who climbed and loved him whether he liked it or not.

Richard lived life to the fullest. All his life was in the field of selling tools to local garages. He worked for Snap-On Tools and later as an independent tool dealer. He was very successful and competitive in the line of work and looked forward to getting up each morning and hitting the road and seeing his customers, many of which became friends of his.

Whenever he wasn’t working, he was attending gun shows, studying the different models of guns, and target shooting. He also enjoyed Nascar racing and being crew chief and car owner along with his son, Matthew, with Aaron as driver at Speedway 95. Daughter Brittany and wife, Shirley were the cheering section. This was a family affair, every Saturday night during the summer.

Richard was a member of the Army National Guard and soon joined the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged due to an injury received on night maneuvers, when he was struck down by a drunk driver. He served his country with pride and honor. It broke his heart when people kneeled or disrespected the flag of the United States.

He never wanted anyone to make a fuss over him. He always said, “Don’t worry about me,” “Nothing serious,” or “I’ll be alright.”

Keeping with Richard’s wishes not to make a fuss, there will be no services at this time.
