Rita E. Inman

Rita (Bourgoin) Inman, 96, passed away peacefully December 27, 2016, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in St. Leonard, N.B., Canada, June 8, 1920, daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Daigle) Bourgoin.
At a young age, Rita moved from Edmonston, N.B., Canada to Madawaska, Maine to care for her two nephews while attending school. At the age of 18, she moved to Bangor to attend hairdressing school. It was in Bangor that she met and married Paul R. Inman.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, knitting and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul and a son, Robert and numerous siblings.
Surviving are, two sons, Richard A. Inman and his wife, Nancy, David J. Inman and his wife, Debra; two grandchildren, Marc Inman and his wife, Tammy, Scott Inman; two great grandchildren, Alexander Inman, Sophia Inman and Ryan Apigian; a brother, James Bourgoin; a sister, Betty Martel; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Orono at a time to be announced in the spring.
