Robert "Bobby" Joseph Allen

October 13, 1946 — October 18, 2021

BRADFORD - Robert "Bobby" Joseph Allen passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021, after a long battle with diabetes and dementia. He was fortunate to receive the sacraments of the church before his passing.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Wanita Allen, whom he met at a young age and has been inseparable since. He is also survived by many siblings, their spouses and families; John, sister-in-law, Tanis, Jeannie, Gary, Tim, Tom, Rebecca, Mark, Joyce, Rosalie, June, Joan, Francis, Anthony, Andrew; all his in-laws; and hundreds of nieces and nephews; God children; and other extended family and friends. Bobby is predeceased by his brother, David; and parents, John and Margaret, who he was looking forward to seeing in heaven.

Wanita is grateful for all the help from family and friends during this tough time, especially Sue Allen and husband John for all the love and support they gave Bobby during his life and especially the last few years. Bobby had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews that lived nearby: Sue, Julie, Angela, Matthew, Jennifer, Jason, Joseph, and Adam.

Bobby joined the Navy when he was young and had many fond memories. After the Navy he had various jobs, such as trucking, hauling and selling cars, and being a mechanic. Bobby loved selling cars at his dealership, Bradford Auto Sales, but more importantly he loved people. It didn't matter who you were, he would strike up a conversation. Even after retiring and selling his business, he continued to go to the auction to look for deals.

Bobby loved his Catholic faith and attended weekly Mass at St. Paul's in Milo and St. Anne's in Dexter. He looked forward to eating out, taking road trips, going to car auctions, and trips to Florida. He loved kids and especially loved to tease them! Bobby was very close with his brothers and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed competing in cribbage, pool, ping pong, softball, bowling, or a game of PIG. He would refuse to lose. If he did lose, be prepared for double or nothing!

Bobby was hardworking, happy, and liked the freedom of being self-employed. If you had the pleasure of knowing Bobby, you knew how big his heart was and how much he loved life. Bobby will be missed by all his family and friends.
