CLIFTON - Robbie Clinton Eaton, 28, was taken to Heaven with Jesus, Monday June 23, 2014, after a short illness. He was born May 4, 1986, in Blue Hill, the son of Kenneth Eaton Jr. and Lucinda (Wentworth) Hersom.
Robbie will be greatly missed by his loving doting family whom he brought much love, joy and laughter into their lives. His smile would light up a room, his hugs were mighty, and he brought much joy to the family. Robbie was very active and he loved everything about life, his family, his friends and pets.
Robbie was very close to his brother, Freddie Hersom and sister-in-law, Holly Hersom. Whenever Freddie was around Robbie would light up-and he would run up to Freddie and tightly wrap his arms around him whenever he was near. Rob also had three more brothers, Travis, Shawn, and Josh, whom spent most of Robbie's life caring for and loving him. He will also be greatly missed by his four sisters, Erika Greer, Alisha Getchell, Leeann Getchell and Patrece Severence, whom also cared for and loved Robbie very much, three special nephews, Wyatt, Christian, and Brendan, and two beautiful nieces, Emma and Isabella. They all loved and played with Robbie and called him "Their Buddy." Two very special in his life were his parents, Wayne and Rena Getchell, with who Robbie had been with since he was three years old. He was their joy, love and laughter. Wayne was more than a devoted dad and Rena was more than a loving mother. Both Wayne and Rena made sure Robbie had a beautiful, productive life and always called him "Their Man." He will also be missed by his biological dad Kenneth. He was predeceased by his mother, Lucinda and his brother, Clyde Eaton. A special thank you from the family is extended to Patty for her commitment, as well as the doctors and nurses in ICU at EMMC.
Friends may call 1 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Brookings-Smith Funeral Home, 133 Center St., Bangor, where services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Tracy officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery following the service. Those who wish may make gifts in Robbie's memory to Camp Capella, P.O. Box 552, Holden, ME 04429.
