Born in Cooperstown, NY Robert “Bob” E. Fish Jr passed away in Bangor peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Saranac High School class of 1992. Following his graduation he joined the military for a short stint before earning a degree in drafting.
Bob lived his life to the fullest each and every day. He had a heart full of love, a passion for life, and a desire for adventure. He would drop anything for those he loved and cared about. It was often said that he would never give someone the shirt off his back but instead would hand them his shirt, socks, and everything in between. You can see the amount of love he held in his heart every time he looked at you with his bright blue eyes and genuine smile, even when you so desperately wanted him to be upset with you yet he never was.
His passion for life really showed itself after a life-altering accident almost 29 years ago. He was in a car accident that left him paralyzed but he never let that stop him and barely even let it slow him down. Despite this, he was known to ride his snowmobiles through the woods, drive his cars anywhere and everywhere with his homemade hand controls, enjoy his favorite time of day with his friends, and make sure those around him always had anything and everything they could possibly need.
Bob is survived by his parents Robert Fish Sr and his wife Paula of Cadyville, NY and Linda Dedrick-Savoie and her husband Rich of Boiling Springs, SC; his daughter Courtney Fish and her husband Jonah of Wilton; his sister Suzanne Fish of Madisonville, TN; his brothers Jamie Weir of Dannemora, NY, Jason Weir of West Chazy, NY, and DJ Staley of Dannemora, NY; his granddaughter Felicity Fish of Wilton; his long time partner in crime Tanya Osborne and her daughters Destiny Featherson and Ava Howard of Newport; as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends who had become family. He was predeceased by a loving friend Tracy Woodman of Bucksport and other family members.
He has chosen to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later time and date. Any who wish to remember Bob in a special way may pay it forward. He would do anything to make people happy. Pay for the coffee order behind you, make dinner for your neighbor, or find something else that would help another in need.
