Bangor – Robert F. Green, 73, passed away December 1, 2014, after battling a long illness. He was born in Bangor, September 11, 1941, the son of James and Gladys (Crocker) Green.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending his time surrounded by his family and friends, playing cards, and fishing. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna (Dowling) Green; 4 loving children, Tina and Mark Lawson, Theresa and Gary Crossman, Bonnie Green, and Robert Green; 7 grandchildren, Miranda Basslett, Jennifer Dionne, Chad Green, Catherine Stinson, Steven Neal, Nick Carangelo, Christopher Brady; 2 loving great grandchildren, Alexis Dorr and AJ Dionne; 4 loving sisters, Margaret Strout, Pauline Curless, Lois Von Borstel, and Dottie Breen; and one brother, William Green. He will be especially missed by his best friend Mert Knowles. He was predeceased by 6 brothers, Ansel, Harold, James, Leonard, Lewis, and Charles; and one sister, Arlene Gamber.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 5-8PM, Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a memorial service will be held 11AM Friday, December 5, with Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the committal service.
