Robert A. “ Bob” Rogers, 86, of Orrington, was reunited with his beloved wife, Beverly (“Bev”) and their daughter Beth Ann when he passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2022. He was born in Hudson on August 4, 1936.
Bob spent most of his life working with heavy equipment. He drove tractor trailer trucks for Hemming Way Transport and also worked as Road Forman for the Town of Orrington. Later in his career, Bob worked as a contractor doing odd jobs for Singleton Real-estate. Prior to retirement he returned to truck driving. A lifelong camper, after retirement, Bob and Bev enjoyed a seasonal camping lot with their daughter, Angela and her family at Whispering Pines on Toddy Pond in Orland.
Bob survived by his daughters, Robin Michaud of Corinth, and Angela and her husband, Jason Willard, of Eddington; sister, Louise Diedrichsen of Bangor; grandchildren, Robert Michaud of Boston, MA, Ronnie Michaud of Hampden, Bethany, Aaron and Abbey Willard of Eddington; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces. Bob was preceded this past January by his beloved wife of 64 years, Beverly (Hanscom) Rogers, and their precious daughter, Beth Ann when she was a toddler; parents, Ashley and Alice (Doliber) Rogers; brother, Arthur Rogers; brother-In-law, Karl Diedrichsen II; and a niece, Vicki Parsons.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Orrington. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
